Your Rights
What are my Rights if I have been Arrested?
At Robertson O’Gorman we are often asked about the rights of individuals when it comes to interactions with police.
If you are approached by a Police Officer you are only required to provide your name and current address to the Police.
If you are in a vehicle you must produce your driver license.
If you are a child you will be asked for your age.
You do not have to answer any other questions from Police or provide them with any further information.
For Information on your rights with Police in certain situations please go to our Frequently Asked Questions page and entries on our blog.
